Kahukura Music Festival

Julie Bassett —

The Kahukura music festival on Monday night was a magnificent showcase of talent, and the chorale students were an integral part of the event. These students were Emmi Edwards, Hazel Rutherford, Hana McIntosh, who sang solos, and Elly McHarg, Ann Chen, and Maia McIntosh. They rehearsed every Thursday after school with the other Kahukura children. They captivated the audience with their harmonious voices, adding a beautiful layer of melody and depth to the performances. Their dedication and hard work in rehearsals paid off as they delivered powerful and emotive renditions of various musical pieces.

The Year 5 and 6 choirs' passion for music shone brightly, and their collective enthusiasm created an electric atmosphere that resonated with everyone in attendance. They truly left a lasting impression and contributed to the overall success of the Kahukura music festival.
Thank you to Meagan McKinney and Sioned Rees for their hard work and dedication to this event.
