Lunchtime Fun

The Waka Tētē children had fun at lunchtime on Wednesday as they got to meet and play basketball with Jackson Stent and Walter Brown from the Canterbury Rams, and Mary Goulding from Mainland Pouākai. After a quick question and answer session about their careers and time in America it was time for players to check out the basketball skills of the Somerfield tamariki. The children were taken through different drills and challenges to see who our basketball champions were. To end the session and after lots of requests from the children, Walter gave a demonstration on how to do the perfect slam dunk!
