The PTA’s preferred method of ordering and payment for our fundraisers is with Kindo as this saves on printing, cash handling, petrol, banking in person and collating orders. While Kindo charges the PTA a small fee for this service, it is more efficient than processing cash orders and has allowed the PTA to continue to raise funds while social distancing over the last 3 years. We still run fundraisers that allow children the opportunity to pay for things with small amounts of cash (such as Kids Market and Disco) as we see it as a valuable experience.

Spring Bulbs Fundraiser

Orders open online on Kindo this Monday. Order by Monday 20 March and bulb collection day will be on Tuesday 4 April. Our preferred method of ordering and payment is with Kindo but, If you want to pay with cash you can print the order form or grab a copy from the school office and drop with the correct amount in the PTA Box (office) by the due date.

Here is a great opportunity to purchase spring flowering bulbs and seeds to show your support for Somerfield Te Kura Wairepo PTA. Bulbs are easy to plant, fun to grow and will reward you with gorgeous flowers year after year. A planting guide will be enclosed with each order. We have some great choices here - why not try them all! Bulbs are supplied by Garden Post which source bulbs from New Zealand & Holland’s best growers.

We are looking for a new Treasurer!

Full training can be provided if needed. You will need to use Xero and ASB online banking to process deposits, set up bill payments and arrange floats for events. Also report back to the committee who meet twice a term.

Now is also the time to start thinking about joining the PTA as we have 3 Committee members whose children are leaving Somerfield this year!
