Term 4 swimming at Pioneer Pool

School swimming lessons will commence Term 4 Weeks 1 and 2. Swim fees need to be paid before the end of Term 3. Fees are $40.00 and can be paid into the school account. Somerfield School account: 12-3148-0229323-01. Please state your child’s name, room number and swim fee in reference. Please note that if you have paid your school fees already then the swimming fee is covered.

The swimming timetable (what session your child's class is swimming) will be given to teachers near the end of the term.

Coaches wanted! Term 4 Centennial Park Touch Rugby

We have had 45 children show an interest in entering in the Centennial Touch Competition for next term, however we do not have enough coaches. If you are interested in coaching a team or know of a highschool aged student who is willing to help out, can you please email Miss Price; s.price@somerfield.school.nz.

Coaches for the teams would just need to do a quick warm up with the team then sort subs during the game. The Y3/4 and Y5/6 competition have referees organised by Touch Canterbury for their games. The Year 1/2 grade is non competitive so coaches would just need to be on the field reminding children of the basic rules etc while they are playing.

Basketball

Well done to the Somerfield spiders team who played in the semi finals and finals at Pioneer last week and won their grade!
