Matariki - the Maori New Year

Matariki, the Māori new year is coming up these holidays! Many of your children have been learning about this important time of year and about the 9 stars at school this term, especially if they're involved in kapa haka. Ask them all about it!This year Matariki is on the 13th of July. It's a time for getting together, sharing kai, and slowing gratitude for the year that's past, while looking forward to the next year.
