Year 6 children

This week the children in Year 6 have been taking part in Cycle Safety. It has great to see their confidence grow during the program. This is a great skill to have as they move to intermediate.

The Cycle Safe programme is aligned with BikeReady. Christchurch's Cycle Safe Programme is considered one of the best in the country and is used as a leading delivery model. All participants receive a personalised certificate highlighting their achievements.

The programme includes:

• Cycle maintenance and helmet fitting
• Basic cycling skills
• Road rules
• On road cycling
