Sports update

Our basketball teams competed at the Canterbury Champs on Monday. Our girls teams were involved in some incredibly tight games as evidenced by 3 draws out of their 5 games, including a draw against one of the top 4 teams. Our boys team played well throughout the tournament before losing to a very good Waitakiri team in the final. Thanks to Kathy for coaching the girls and all the parents who helped with transport and scorebench duties. Ka mau te wehi!

The Somerfield ski team had a great day at Mt Cheeseman on 15 August 2021 and the children all finished their races and did themselves proud.
