He mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa - Warm greetings to all.

On Monday we welcomed all the tamariki who joined us for the second part of this term at our Mihi Whakatau. The Mihi Whakatau allows us to welcome new tamariki and their whānau and make them part of Somerfield Te Kura Wairepo whānau.

For the last few weeks the Year 6's have been participating in the City Council Cycle Safety programme. They have worked with a number of instructors to develop their skills and knowledge as road users. This is an important programme considering we are encouraging a generation of young people to get out of cars and onto bikes. This is also a good age to have  this programme as this is when young people are safer to be on roads due to development such as peripheral vision.

We have a busy few weeks ahead.

To celebrate Year 4 SMART children and thank those who have helped on Road patrol, library and PALs.

Year 6 leavers Assembly- Wednesday 14 December 6pm

This assembly is for Year 6's and their whānau to celebrate their time at Somerfield Te Kura Wairepo and farewell them.

Final Assembly -  Friday 16 December 11am

This assembly is to celebrate the SMART Kids for the year, share the Award winners, farewell staff and reflect on the year.
