Sick children and essential visitors.

Sick Children

Thank you for your help in keeping children at home when they are sick. COVID symptoms are similar to a cold or flu so this is a necessary precaution. Please get a COVID test if symptoms persists.

If your child is going to be home for a period of time and they are well enough, please email the teacher and they will send the workspace code for your child to access some work. These workspaces are updated regularly but teachers will not be zooming.

Essential Visitors

From 15 November the Mandatory Vaccination Health Order applies to all staff, professionals on site, coaches, music instructors, PTA, BoT and anyone else who is front facing with our tamariki.

Aligned to the Order we will now only have Essential Visitors on site to ensure the safety of all tamariki and staff. If you are an essential visitor we will expect you to wear your face mask.

Essential visitors include:

• Caregivers enrolling new students

• Picking up sick children

• Appointments with staff that are not able to be held by phone or zoom

Non- essential workers include:

Many of you are already operating this way and we appreciate your help.

• Dropping children off or picking them up, this includes if your child is late. If the child is dropped off  late ring the office and a staff member will meet your child and sign them in.

• If leaving early for an appointment the school needs to be informed and we will supervise them to the gate

• Meeting with the teacher or another staff member- in most instances you can email the teacher to set up a phone or zoom meeting

• Picking up a uniform - we will help your child pack these in their bags

• Dropping off lunches or gear. Once again ring the office when you get to the gate and we will get someone to meet you.

• Lost property - the Nurture Leadership Team is now returning all named articles of clothing to the children

• Payments - can all be done online
