SNAPSHOTS OF LEARNING

This term you have been receiving Learning Snapshots through the school app. These can be found in the Spotlight icon. A schedule for this was sent out in the team newsletter and you should expect to see 4 this term. If you have not received any snapshots, please see the classroom teacher in the first instance. This is a great way to see your child's progress and keep up to date with their learning. Spending time talking to your child about their snapshot supports their learning and enables the children to see the parent teacher partnership. Please take the time to talk to your child about their snapshot, even if it is the 5 minutes from the school gate to home in the afternoon. You may be amazed when you show your child their work on the app how much conversation you get out of them.

Also, for those of you that do not have the app it is a great way to keep connected with the school. This is where you will receive alerts, the Report, Snapshots, attendance information and access the calendar. In most cases only one parent has the app, so if your partner would like a log in as well please email.If you do not have a username and log in for the app please email k.englefield@somerfield.school.nz
