Message from the Tumuaki
He mihi mahana kia koutou katoa - Warm greetings to all.
Winter has not done with us yet!!! Its a good reminder that children need to wear NAMED layers of clothing. Our lost property pile continues to grow and its much easier to find clothing that is named!
The media is full of stories about the measles epidemic in New Zealand. It seems to be more prevalent in Auckland but with such a mobile population all our children are at risk unless they are immunised. This can be a terrible disease for children so immunisation is recommended.
Congratulations to our tamariki who preformed at Horncastle Arena last week in Strum , Strike and Blow. One of our tamariki great grandparents reported it was a great performance.
Mana Ake has been named as a finalist in the Spirit of Service awards and I am honoured to represent the schooling sector at the awards ceremony in Wellington next week. http://www.ssc.govt.nz/resources/spirit-service-awards-2019-finalists/
Keep warm and dry!
