Message from the Tumuaki
He mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa - Warm greetings to all.
On Friday our Pink Shirt Day was very successful raising over $500 for the Mental Health Foundation to combat bullying. Well done everyone and thank you for your support.
Yesterday was the zone cross country and our teams did us proud with their performance and attitude. See the results in the next week's newsletter. Congratulations, tamariki.
Coming up on Monday, 12 June is the Kahukura Music Festival. This year we are performing at the Cashmere High School Performing Arts Centre (PAC). We are delighted to be performing in our own community.
Teachers Strike Action still a possibility.
NZEI, the teachers union, is still in talks with the government about their work conditions and remuneration concerns. There is still the possibility of strike action if there is no headway.
Teachers might strike on Wednesday, 31 May. This is next Wednesday and the SCHOOL will CLOSE.
You will be notified Sunday night or Monday morning if the strike is to go ahead.
