This year we have been very glad to see so many Somerfield Te Kura Wairepo kids doing the Weet-Bix Tryathlon and completing it at their own pace! For the last few years it has been cancelled due to covid-19, however, this year we were very lucky to have competed. The tryathlon included a 100m swim, a 4km bike ride, and a 1 and a half km run with different lengths for different ages. After completing the tryathlon you received a medal for your hard work and dedication. You could also win spot prizes, play fun games, and there were plenty of prizes to be won. This event has been happening for over 31 years and over 450,000 children have given it a try! This year there were over 2,000 children giving it a go!

The Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon is designed for Kiwi kids aged 6-15 years to help them stay active and healthy through a programme of participation. You are not given a time or place to beat, it is designed for kids to give it a try! They want to remove the barriers so that all kids regardless of their circumstances can participate!

Here is a link to the home page so you can register your child for next year!
