Ka mau te wehi to our 33 tamariki who represented Somerfield at our zone Winter Tournament last week. The weather played ball and our kids had a ball judging by the smiles on their faces when they returned to school. It was particularly pleasing to see some of our Y5/6s taking the risk of playing a sport they had never played before.

Our football team finished first claiming the only spot representing our zone at the Canterbury Champs later this term, while our netball team grabbed the last of the three spots available in that sport. Hockey finished 3rd on countback and Rugby also 3rd, however only one spot is available in those sports. We appreciate all the effort you put into making this such a fun event for our tamariki. Ka rawe!
