On Thursday the 17th of June we performed “The Little Kiwi’s Matariki'' for our whānau. Our Celebration of Learning took place in the hall at 5pm so that it was dark enough outside to see the stars of Matariki. The Kiwi was the main character but there were other leads too. We were split into 4 different character groups: the Tūī, Ruru, Weka and Katipō. Everyone learned a dance, new songs and waiata. We had a lot of fun being on the stage in front of our whānau. After the performance we got to eat some star cookies that we had baked ourselves, they were really really good!
