Elections for the Somerfield Te Kura Wairepo Board of Trustees (BoT) are scheduled for September 2022, so now is a great time to consider getting involved.

The board is made up of six elected parent representatives, our Tumuaki/Principal Denise Torrey and Kelly Englefield who is our staff representative.

We provide strategic leadership and direction to the school and we work in partnership with the community, teachers, support staff, the Ministry of Education and other key agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for all students.

We would love to hear from anyone interested in making a meaningful difference to our school community.

If you’d like to learn more about our mahi and get a feel for what’s involved, join us at an upcoming board meeting. (These are held remotely under the ‘Red’ traffic light setting.) You can find upcoming dates on our website.

Alternatively, feel free to get in touch with Denise Torrey [insert link to email] or our Chairperson Stephanie Muller - chair@somerfield.school.nz  to find out more.

The elections will be held electronically for the first time this year and are managed by the Board of Trustees, with support from NZSTA and the Ministry of Education.
