Message from the Tumuaki

Denise Torrey —

He mihi mahana ki a koutou katoa - Warm greetings to all.

We look forward to seeing you at 11am tomorrow to cheer on our tamariki at Cross Country. Fingers crossed that the weather forecast is correct!! Please keep to the Cross Country track or start/finish area. The Cross Country is treated as an event so when it ends at 12:30 pm can you please leave the school grounds.

We have a number of Year 5 & 6 tamariki isolating due to COVID which means they can't race in their cross country event. We will still be running the Year 5 & 6 races tomorrow. We will then rerun the races next week for the top 10 from Friday and any returnees who wish to race. This will help us get our Zone team. Times will be recorded. These are unprecedented times requiring us to find new solutions!

Digital safety

As a parent, navigating the digital space can be tricky. School has a number of measures that not all homes can employ. To help you we have asked Netsafe's Education Advisor, Paula Wistrand to hold a session to give practical advice to parents. Please see the separate article in the newsletter.

Holidays during school term

Many of you are taking the opportunity to holiday during term time. We do not deliver the curriculum to those taking holidays so will not be providing any resources. If you wish for something for your children to do while on holiday,  a diary of events is a great activity and it can be shared with classmates on return.
