I have served on the Board of Trustees as an elected parent representative since June 2016 and I am currently the Chairperson of the Board. My key role is to lead the Board and to partner with the principal and leadership team to maximise the achievement and wellbeing of our tamariki.

The Board’s overall responsibility to its parents and community includes legal obligations covering curriculum, property, personnel, finance and health and safety.

As a lawyer and parent, I have welcomed the opportunity to positively influence and benefit the school community through serving as a member of the Board.

Kō Kellie Englefield tōku ingoa.

I have worked in education for the last 20 years in Australia, the United Kingdom and Aotearoa. I have been on the staff at Somerfield Te Kura Wairepo for the last six years and I am also privileged to have two of my children currently attending the school.

I am the staff elected representative on the Somerfield Te Kura Wairepo Board of Trustees and support the Tumuaki and board through my responsibilities related to learning and teaching programmes' development.

I am enjoying my role on the board and working collaboratively to plan strategically and seeing the impact of this on staff, students and our community.
