Tamariki at Lake Tekapo Kindergarten have been enjoying making the most of the edible gardens, smelling, stirring and mixing with water as they create potions, soups and teas. This has provided time, space and moments where tamariki are practicing their turn taking skills, communication abilities and developing a sense of imagination. This interest stemmed from having the Lake Tekapo School tamariki visiting as part of their regular fortnightly visits, with the older tamariki showing the younger tamariki what endless possibilities there are within water play.
