Glenview Kindergarten kaiako team are very proud of how the new quiet room has come together, providing a space that supports the tamariki to take some quiet time out from their busy play and learning, and a chance to explore mindfulness resources.

Kaiako have worked to provide an area for all of the senses and tamariki have been showing respect for the ideals we are developing in this space such as we must use quiet voices, we respect when others are looking to spend time in their own learning space engaging with a resource, waiting for turns with some of the favourite resources such as the harmony drum, exploring the soothing effects of the waterfall with gentle touch/listening ears and keeping the water where it belongs.

We still have a few more pieces to arrive for this space and hope to replace the carpet flooring at some point in the near future.
