Tamariki Brushing Teeth at Hanan

Hanan Kindergarten —

Ngā tamariki are ka rawe/awesome at brushing their niho/teeth as part of our morning program.

This is a wonderful learning opportunity that is optional for tamariki to participate in. When they choose to brush their niho tamariki competently know where to find their own toothbrushes, apply the toothpaste and sit themselves at the table in front of a mirror.

Not only are tamariki learning about taking care of their teeth and keeping themselves healthy (backing up the messages they receive from home), but they are also learning name recognition when finding their toothbrush, independence, and leadership skills when they help each other.

Titiro! Look at those wonderful smiles.
