Ngā tamariki at Kowhai Kindergarten spend the morning out in the community, picking up the rubbish around the entrance to kindergarten.

Ngā tamariki were very thorough, completing the mahi in the alleyway, the long driveway, and finally in the garden at the entrance to the kindergarten. 

During this experience, tamariki at Kowhai Kindergarten continue to develop an understanding of being a kaitiakitanga (guardianship) of the community and natural environment.  Building confidence as leaders, and deepening knowledge that everyone has a part to play in keeping our community, our world beautiful.
