Rhona Day tamariki and kaiako are learning a new waiata about some of the Atua. This has supported the learning around the different Atua which are included within the kindergarten environment .
Providing rhythm, space, and a connection for tamariki as they expand and revisit their learning and knowledge they have about the Atua. Learning through music has enabled tamariki and kaiako to recall and retain this information quickly, often hearing tamariki singing parts of the waiata within their play at Rhona Day
Whānau have been hearing this waiata at home, and sharing tamariki learning is supporting whānau to learn alongside their tamaiti. Some of the Atua have been talked about within kindergarten for some time, and some of these names might be familiar (1st part of the waiata), tamariki and kaiako are discovering some of the Atua Wahine (2nd part of the waiata).
