Kaiako at Hanan Kindergarten have been excited to implement Oranga Niho, a toothbrushing programe with the support of WAVE. This addition to our daily routine encourages tamariki to establish good paraihe niho (toothbrushing habits) by brushing regularly to help keep their niho (teeth) healthy for life.

With everyone having their own special toothbrush, tamariki have been keenly giving it a go and showing off their toothbrushing skills with one another, brushing top and bottom, front and back, and not forgetting their tongue.

Tamariki are doing an awesome job developing their independence over this important hygiene skill while being supported to value a happy and healthy smile.
