Ruma Kakano (the under two-year old's room) is full of kaitiaki-leaders

Tamariki take responsibility for caring for the environment - manaaki taiao, ourselves, and each other - manaakitanga, modelling these actions for younger friends. 

Tamariki take the plates and water bottles to the bench when they have finished kai, work together to put the cushions away after hui time, help their friends remember to wear their sunhats to stay safe outside, tamariki also sweep and tidy, and they wipe the tables down after kai.

Together we care for our space and each other!
