Hanan Kindergarten —

From garden to plate

This week we took some delicious silverbeet and oregano from our te māra kai. We cleaned it and boiled it up. Adding it to the blender with an egg and some flour and whizzed it all together......the blender was a very exciting piece of equipment for everyone as they turned the dial to blitz the ingredients.

When we thought it looked nice and blended we turned it out and kneaded it for what seemed like days, we put it into a ball and then into the fridge...the very next day we rolled and rolled and rolled the dough adding flour as we went, we made the dough stretch out so so long and then we fed it through the pasta maker and out came long delicious fettucine wow!!!!!

Then we boiled it up and had it with our lunch.
