Manāki whenua, manāki tangata, haere whakamua!
Care generously for the land, uphold the dignity of people, go forward!
Caring generously for the land; providing time, space, and learning experiences that support and continue to grow our Enviroschools mahi within kindergarten. Creating kaitiaki that develop an understanding and love for the environment, our place, and how we can work together to care for it.
Upholding the dignity of people; caring for our community members, including tamariki, whānau, kaiako, and the wider Temuka community. Making connections and relationships which begin with a strong bond with kindergarten. Creating an environment that is familiar, consistent, inclusive, peaceful, and supportive for all whānau.
Go forward; learning together, sharing our knowledge, resources, connections, developing strong relationships within our kindergarten community. We all move forward together, supporting each other now and into the future, as one whānau.

Whānau comments:
“I feel kaiako are very professional while relatable, building trusting, caring relationships not only with my child, but also with our whole whānau”
“Teachers all being trained is very important to me. I can see this through the kindergarten, the engagement and learning with children, and the interactions with everyone at Rhona Day”
“We don’t have any other family in Temuka, we see you as our family. How you care for our child and the connection we have with you all at kindergarten is important to us. Thank you for being a part of our family”
