Rainy day fun!

Tamariki using all the senses and physical abilities to make sense of their world. Encouraging tamariki to learn with and alongside others.

Ensuring all tamariki are dressed in wet weather gear to be comfortable in the cold and wet and have fun together in the rain.

Collecting rainwater

Tamariki have opportunities to explore how things move and how they can be moved – pushing, lifting, pouring. They make discoveries about their natural world through play in all types of weather and develop an understanding of rainwater as a finite resource.
