Every day matters!
Just like you, we want your children to achieve the very best they can both in their learning and their friendships!
Good morning, Hallo, Talofa lava, Malo e lelei, Nǐ hǎo, Salam, Kia orana, Namaste, Kumusta, Bula vinaka, Tēnā koutou kātoa,
You are probably aware that regular attendance is a key Ministry priority. Regular attendance means that your child is at school just about every day or at least 90% of the time (9/10 days).
Regular attendance means that your child keeps up with the learning, establishes strong friendships and feels confident to ask questions and voice their opinion.
Being on time to school, also helps to give your child a good start to their day. They have time to unpack their bag, talk with their friends, catch up with the teachers and be ready for the first lesson of the day, which is usually our structured literacy lesson.
We are very happy to work with you if there is some barrier to getting to school regularly but we do ask that you help us by keeping clear communication.
Teachers are in classes from 8:30am until 9:00 each morning and available for both children and parents. Pop in and let your children share what they have been doing, speak with the teacher so they can also share successes and celebrations with you.
We understand that children do become unwell and there are times when they just are not well enough to be at school. Please do let us know. You can report an absence in many ways:
Report through the "Hero' app
Text 021-029-22298
School website, select 'Report an absence' on the main menu bar
Call 349-7561 and select Option 1
Use the Skool Loop app and select 'Absentee'
Help us to ensure we are achieving the very best we can for your children. Get them to school every day on time! If there is a problem, please, please talk to us.
Mā te mahi tahi e ora ai te moemoeā. Teamwork makes the dream work.
Ngā mihi,
Wendy
