Uru Mānuka Cultural Festival
Last Wednesday 1 November South Hornby Kapa Haka performed at the Uru Manuka Cultural Festival which was held at the Aurora Centre.
We showcased our new school haka Te Manu Tukutuku for the first time. Keeping up with tradition their performance was flawless. We would like to acknowledge Rihari Ohia for gifting this precious taonga to our school community. Congratulations to Tamani Aramoana-Murray and Nikora Strickland who were the recipients of the Maori Achievement award for South Hornby School. Thank you to family, friends, students, teachers and our community for their support.
