For the last three weeks we have been focussing on our People Power of Play.

What is Play and how do we show Play?

Play is being creative and curious.  When we challenge ourselves and “Give It a Go” we are showing Play.  When we are having fun in our learning by laughing, sharing and celebrating with others we are showing Play.

Play is important as it’s easier to achieve goals if you have fun doing it. Sharing moments of enjoyment with peers builds friendship and trust.

When you stop and think about it even as adults Play is important in our work places.

This term staff have been giving out Wonder Weka Thank You Tickets to students we see showing Play in their learning.  They have also been giving out our usual Thank You Tickets for students showing our People Powers.  Each week syndicates have drawn Wonder Weka tickets out for prizes.

For the next three weeks of term our focus will change to Choosing Your Attitude.
