Neighbourhood Support’s aim is to create and maintain safer, resilient, and connected neighbourhoods through forming street groups, where neighbours take responsibility to get to know, help and look out for each other. We also provide these groups with information to help reduce crime, prepare for emergencies and increase well-being.

My specific role is to work in schools to help children become connected to their local community and empower them to make positive changes in their school, homes and community. I have started at South Hornby this year and look forward to getting to know your school community over the coming years. Akeilah and Mikayla have been appointed as the South Hornby School, Junior Neighbourhood Support Leaders. We organise projects around the school; currently, we are looking at recycling and growing some food.
