Christchurch City Council is looking for feedback on the updated South New Brighton Park development plan. Building on the previous park concept plan from 2021, this plan looks to make multiple changes to the park such as:

• Two new pump tracks. The pump track designs are simple, aiming to compliment the nearby pump tracks.

• A new pathway to be constructed along the existing bund and road edge. This is intended to connect with the estuary-edge pathway.

• New tree planting.

• Changes to carparking near the South New Brighton community centre and near the play space. Some car parks will be redistributed between the car park outside the South Brighton community centre and outside the play space.

• New facilities including a second BBQ area, and new picnic tables.
