What does it take to write an awesome song? Ask the students in Beach Break, and they will tell you! These talented and hardworking students have just completed a two-day songwriting workshop with the wonderful Sacha Vee, a New Zealand Music Mentor (NZ Music Commission), singer, songwriter, and founder of SOLE Music Academy.

Beach Break will compete on Monday, 19 August, at the first of three Christchurch regional finals of Bandquest to be held at Haeata Community Campus.   They will debut their original song 'Floating Down the Highway' which paints a picture of a sustainable future, and a cover; 'Mercy' by Shawn Mendes.

The event is open to the public.  Tickets can be purchased at the door, from 6pm onwards.  The show kicks off at 6:30pm.
