Kia ora koutou katoa

It has been a great month being a member of the SNBS Prefects group. This month some of the highlights have been going to River of Flowers at Ebbtide Street to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of the February earthquakes. This was our first role being Prefects of 2021. We reflected and remembered this big event for our city while we put flowers in the river.

As a group we have enjoyed supporting Brighton up our World Mufti Day, that happened on the 24th of March. It was so awesome to see all the bright colours around our school. All of the food donated went to the Community Fridge and Pantry New Brighton. It was really well received, we have such a lovely community.

On March 25th some of us got to show some adult visitors around. It is a real privilege to share our school with new people.

It has been really productive coming to our weekly prefect meetings. We are all building great relationships with Janene, Jo and one another. We are all learning so much more about our school and how to be role models as seniors. We are all so excited to have new experiences and take on great responsibilities.

We are really looking forward to having our Walk or Wheel to School Day and many other events throughout the year.

Ngā mihi
