Congratulations to all our athletes who competed in the Canterbury Duathlon. By all accounts a really fun event and some great results. Thanks to all the parents who supported our athletes.
We are in the middle of our assessment week. This is where we do our more formal assessments. It is only a small part of the assessment we do however, as we always note what children are doing in class, what they do independently and when they need support. All of these things go together to give us a really good understanding of what your child’s strengths are and where they need to go to next.
It is your last chance tomorrow to buy Easter Raffle tickets. This would make a really great easter treat! Also coming up is the Kid’s Market on 8th April. The weekend might be a good chance to do a clear out of toys ready to sell on to someone else.
Another event on its way is our very own Commonwealth Games on the 12 April. A chance to join in with our athletes on the Gold Coast and learn a little about the countries they are representing.
I hope you all have some good plans for the Easter break. Having the Tuesday as well makes it a great long weekend. I am going to be enjoying the sun at Cook’s Beach and having cuddles with my new granddaughter. Can’t think of a better way to spend the time.
