Basketball - The Yr 3/4 SNBS Sharks had a great game against the Lions winning 3 – 2. The boys are really starting to work well as a team and everyone got some time with the ball. There were some great passes up the court and the team’s defensive game was really great. Player of the game went to Caspian Hollis for his defence and several attempts at scoring points. The Sharks are going from strength to strength every week. A big shout out from the coach to Joe and Bruce and all the other parents who pitched in and helped out this week.

This week the SNBS Sharks played against the Haeata Lizards and we had a fantastic win 9 – 3. The team has been practicing their shooting and it showed, with Finn, Noah and Caspian all scoring points and Oliver with a close attempt. There was some great passing and some good steals from Noah, Brooklyn and Max. Spencer and Wolfe played a great defensive game. Player of the game went to both Spencer and Max who both played the best game so far. Again a shoutout to parents Sarah and Reecy for their help this week.

Junior Athletics - What a wonderful day the junior school had on Monday. It was so good to see everyone out there running, throwing and jumping. A big shout out to the Sports Academy students who helped out at the stations and with the classes.

Sports Academy Camp - After 2 years of fundraising, sports events and leadership, the Sports Academy students headed off to Spencer Park last week.  They biked out, stayed in tents, did Adrenaline Park, orienteering, boot camp and then biked back on Friday. A great time was had by all. Thank you so much for all your support.

Uniforms - As you clean out the school uniforms and bags, if you have any PE uniforms, please return them to the office.

A huge shout out to everyone who has helped support our sporting community and events at SNBS, Zones and Canterburys this year. Another challenging year and we couldn’t have done it without all the wonderful people. 

And our PTA for all their support. They have brought us a Korfball set to add to our games next year.
