Meeting Jane Goodall
On the 30th of May, we (Emma, Theo, Abigail, Grace, Eva, and Lola) met the amazing Dr Jane Goodall, and presented our slides about 'People, Place, and Animals'. It was a great experience!
The first thing we did was go into Banks Avenue School hall for a mihi whakatau. It was amazing. Then Jane realised that there were different languages, but no animal welcomes, so Jane gave us a chimpanzee welcoming call. It was really cool. She sounded just like a chimpanzee.
Following the welcome, we went to the library where we were provided with morning tea.
After eating, it was time to present our projects to Jane. We were the first group to be picked out to present. We thought our presentation went quite well.
It was interesting after presenting because we got to ask Jane questions that we wanted to know.
Then we created 'Seeds of Love' which Emma from SNBS and another girl called May, presented. We were so busy getting notes, signatures and postcards signed by Jane that we didn't have any time to make 'Seeds of Love' before we had to go back to S.N.B.S .
