The kapa haka group at Southbridge School is open for all students across the school. The group take part in the Tuhono kapa haka festival each year held at the The Town Hall, they also perform at assemblies, mihi whakatau, prize givings and other school events. We have a close relationship with our local marae and have been gifted our own waiata to use that is special to our school. The kapa haka tutor is Amelia McMaster with the support of Simon Dakers both teachers at Southbridge School. Kapa haka rehearsals are every second Tuesday from 9.10am - 9.40am in our school hall.
