What will the start of the school year look like in 2025?
Monday 27 January is a Staff Only Day

On Tuesday 28 January each teacher will have 10 minute timetabled goal-setting meetings with individual children and their whānau. More information on how to book these meetings will be sent home in early December.

The whole school then starts back together on Wednesday 29 January

TERM DATES 2025

Term 1:  Tuesday 28 Jan - Friday 11 April (104 half days / 11 weeks)

Public Holidays: 6 Feb – Waitangi Day

Easter falls during the term one holiday in 2025

Term 2:  Monday 28 April - Friday 27 June (84 half days / 9 weeks)

Public Holidays:  2 June – King’s Birthday, 20 June - Matariki

Term 3:  Monday 14 July - Friday 19 September (100 half days / 10 weeks)

Term 4:  Monday 6 October - Thursday 11 December (96 half days / 10 weeks)

Public Holidays: 27 Oct - Labour Day, 14 November – Canterbury Anniversary

Total = 382 half days.

• Please note that there may be an additional 1 to 2 teacher-only days set during the year. We will endeavour to give at least 1 term’s notice of any TOD once they are confirmed.  

• The MOE may decide to allocate further teacher-only days as part of PLD (Professional Learning Development) for teachers based on the curriculum refresh throughout 2025; we often have little control on when these dates are set.
