Community 4 - Year 2 & 3
I have been so lucky this year because I got to hang out with 27 quirky, kind, crazy and hard working children!
We have had so much fun in Community 4 this year. We have loved heading down to the forest, using our imagination in class, and making all sorts of creations. They have been such a kind and caring group and I love seeing how they help each other out. There have been many times where they are celebrating other people’s success which is awesome to see!
We have been lucky to have a number of new students join us this year and I feel like they have added so much to our whanau. They have all been quick to make new friends and they felt like part of the family very quickly.
I have never had such a keen bunch of mathematicians! I am amazed at how eager they were for maths each day and they became very disappointed if there was a week we didn’t do our basic facts test.
Play based learning has been a big highlight in Community 4 this year, and especially Tuesday Newsday! I am constantly amazed at what creations and learning comes from play and it has helped me get to know the children really well.
