This year our school choir consisted of 22 students from Years 4-6. These students took part in the annual Christchurch Music Festival which for the first time since the earthquakes was held again at the Christchurch Town Hall. Being in the school choir involves a commitment to attend rehearsals every Tuesday morning from 9am - 9.30am with Mrs Thornton who runs the school choir. This years theme was 'You're the Voice' with a collection of songs including You're the Voice, California Dreamin' and Peace Song to name a few. Friday the 8th of November was our performance day so the choir and Mrs Thornton travelled to Christchurch in the morning to attend the mass rehearsal and then went back for the night time performance at 7pm. Our school choir is an optional extra-curricular activity that the senior students can opt into. We look forward to sharing some of our songs with you all at Prize Giving later this term.
