On the 9th of September 2019 we sent two teams to the Technology Challenge which was held at Ellesmere College. There was one team of Year 6 and one team of Year 5 students. Riley, Thomas and Jonty were in the Year 6 team along with Aidan, Harvey and Finn who were in the Year 5 team. Everyone was given the same challenge which we had to make a sturdy stick so we could pick up polystyrene ping pong balls and pick them up from two metres away with the stick and drop it into a bucket. The Year 6 team managed to get one ball into the bucket but there was some confusion with the other team who ended up making a bridge by mistake. Unfortunately we didn't win but we learnt a lot about team work and reading the instructions correctly. 

You were also able to do an extra challenge at home where you created a marble run, Jonty had a go at this and had success with this working. 

We had a great day at the Technology Challenge  and learnt a lot.
