Swimming, that's a wrap!

The cooler weather arrived but not before we got to have some fantastic days down at the Southbridge Pool - we are so incredibly fortunate to have such a wonderful facility to use.

Water Skills for Life - This was our first time rolling out the programme with the Senior Roopu - we were not disappointed! WSFL is based on 27 core skills, aimed at establishing broad fundamental competencies for life-long water safety.

Swimming Sports - What a brilliant day we had with some exceptional swimming on display. A new format saw Community Four joining the Senior Roopu for the day, we were really happy with how the event went and received plenty of positive feedback from our spectators. Communities 6 and 7 were scheduled to hold their own demonstration at the end of the swimming season - unfortunately poor weather prevented this from happening.

Zone Swimming Sports - a Team of 17 swimmers represented Southbridge School at the zone event. Sportmanship was well and truly on display with some outstanding results for many of our team.

Canterbury Swimming Sports - A massive congratulations to Jaryn Chynoweth, Harper Bell, Jack Dakers and Brooklyn Ball who all qualified to represent the Ellesmere Zone at the upcoming Canterbury Swimming Championships.

A very special thanks to all the helpers who have made all of these events possible and of course Brenda Hampton, Southbridge Pool Manager and all of the wonderful Lifeguards who have kept a watchful eye over us this season.
