Poe Leiataua was nominated for the Prestigious Pat Hanly Creativity Awards 2021 and has won the award that was presented at the Auckland City Art Gallery.

The last time we won this award was Tien Pham a few years ago, so it is an amazing opportunity and huge acknowledgement to Poe and to Esther Lee who has been his guiding teacher over the last 5 years. For this award Poe had to submit an artwork and a written artist statement. His artwork titled “A Mothers Legacy” is what he drew of Esther's son as a gift for her. Congratulations Poe! What an awesome achievement.
