Samoan Language Week - Panikeke
Samoan Language week includes cooking.

I am excited that we are able to participate in Samoan Language Week.
Years 7 to 10 have practiced making Panikeke today. For some of us, it was our first time, and for others who have made them at home before, they were able to take on a leadership role and give us advice and help us to pronounce Samoan words properly.
Here is our recipe:
3 ½ cups all-purpose flour
· 1 ⅓ cups white sugar
· 2 teaspoons baking powder
· 2 very ripe bananas, mashed
· 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
· 1 ½ cups water
· 6 cups vegetable oil for frying
