Fathers Fono

Tiere Matenga Riki —

The Atu-Mai team at Le Va, would like to advise you of our newly available, FREE Fathers Fono workshops at Le Va for Pasifika fathers.

Kia ora koutou, Talofa lava, Ni sa bula Vinaka, Kia orana, Fakaalofa lahi atu, and warm Pacific Greetings from Le Va!

Fathers Fono is a parenting workshop aimed at bringing our Pasifika fathers together and supporting each other to be the best Dads we can be. Information and talanoa will focus on the importance of engaging with our children and supporting Dads with strategies to build authentic and sincere relationships. We draw on our Pasifika values of love and respect to help our dads support their children and families to thrive and reach their full potential.

The purpose of the Father’s Fono training is to:

• Explore how to be an engaging Dad through relationships, values and self-care.

• How to build strong positive relationships with our children.

• How to follow through and commit to action being the best Father we can be.

Fathers can self-register at the following link:

Atu Mai programme

Atu-Mai is based on the Cook Islands proverb Aro’a atu, i te aro’a mai – love given, love received. We are a national violence prevention programme that strengthens Pasifika communities by developing confident and resilient Pasifika families. Check out our website for more information.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
