Who can return to school at Alert Level 3?
FROM MONDAY 18TH OCTOBER - School will open at Alert Level 3 for those students under 14 years old and whose parents are essential workers or do not have any one at home to look after their children whilst they are at work. If this applies to your situation, you will need to register your child/ren to attend onsite. All other students will continue with distance learning.
**PLEASE READ THE LEARNING CONDITIONS BEFORE YOU CONTINUE WITH REGISTRATION**
Registrations for students to register and attend school at Alert Level 3 will close at 12PM - Friday 15th October, 2021.
At Alert Level 3, learning time will be restricted to 9am-2.30pm daily.
This is to allow the kaitiaki to prepare and clean all hard surfaces in the learning spaces before and after school.
The school gate will be open 15 minutes before learning time at 8.45am and will remain closed at 9am.
The school gate will reopen from 2.30pm - 2.45pm. Your child must be collected from the gate during this time.
Parents and Visitors will not be able to access the school grounds at any time during Alert Level 3. The office and the school gate will be closed throughout the day, therefore no late students can enter the premises after 9am.
Students on the level 3 roll must;
- be punctual to school by 8.45am am and picked up by 2.30pm each day
- attend school each day unless sick
- if sick the caregiver must notify the school before 9am by email: admin@southerncross.school.nz or via the school app.
- bring to school each day; morning tea, lunch and a water bottle.
- we encourage anyone over the age of 12 to wear a mask.
