Springston Secret Garden’s new Coordinator

Recently the Secret Garden appointed a new Coordinator – Lois Thomas. Lois is replacing Tina Bond, she and her family have moved to Leeston. Lois admitted she has very big boots to fill as Tina did such a wonderful job both at the garden and with the school pupils. Fortunately Tina will continue to be involved with the garden as time permits.

Lois’ background is in health/social services and community. She is a very passionate gardener and gets great pleasure from working with and helping others. The school has 2 dedicated plots and with Allana’s support Lois plans to get the school pupils preparing and planting these for the winter. Lincoln Hammer Hardware has kindly donated vegetable seedlings for the children to plant and tend. “ I am sure parents will be interested to follow the progress and taste the results of their hard work”.
