The Kakariki tamariki have been learning all about Sir Edmund Hillary. In writing this term, we used our research skills to gather information and then we presented our findings in 3D ‘mountains’. We learnt all about his family history and background, his great achievement of being the first person to conquer Mount Everest along with Tenzing Norgay, and that he was a short and shy boy who grew up to be strong and adventurous!
